The fabulous Joanna Smith is poised to hit the airwaves soon with her new single, “Girls Are Crazy,” and one thing that Joanna is personally crazy about is golf. She talked with Sony Music Nashville about this year’s incredible Masters tournament, which wrapped on Sunday, and Joanna says she loved watching it all play out. “I was just on pins and needles. And I’m not…you know, I’m not particularly a fan of any one golfer. If I had to pick one, I’d say Jim Furyk because I’m actually personal friends with his wife, and him as well, and I’ve done their charity event a couple years, so I pull for him, but I mean, I just love the sport. It’s an incredible sport. And I love the character of the guys that play the sport. This year was just an impeccabletournament. The end with the sudden death rounds and the way it all played out — and to see, you know, Adam Scott nail that incredible putt, and then think he had it, and then Angel Cabrera answered him, just like the old pro he is, and then they had to go back after it, and I mean, Angel missed his putt — super-hard putt, you know — by just an inch, and Adam Scott made his. And I love those stories! ‘Cause, you know, they said that Adam said that the Masters was what he wanted to win, but he knew that he had to improve his putting in order to win. And then he won it with putting — and I loved it!” (laughs)
