Kenny Chesney Show in Pittsburgh on June 22 turned into a huge brawl outside and inside the stadium.

The problems began before the concert, with the “No Shoes Nation” arriving way before the lots were supposed to open, leading to lots of traffic and tension on the highways. The problems escalated as large groups of drunk fans tailgated in the parking lot before the show.

It would appear that the mixture of alcohol, crowding and general excitement contributed to at least 10 large fights breaking out, with 150 people being treated on-site for various medical needs.

Another 45 fans were taken to medical facilities. 49 people were arrested inside the venue, and another 29 were arrested nearby.

There have been problems in the past with Kenny’s concerts. In 2011, the crowd at a Chesney concert did minor damage at Lambeau Field. Then last year’s Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw show was blamed as contributing to bad late-season conditions at Washington’s FedEx Field.
