Local Teen’s Auto-Tuned Sounding Voice Amazes Chris Daughtry

Pinellas county’s Emma Robinson is only 16-years and already has the attention of some big names in the Pop/Rock music business.

Chris Daughtry and Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale recently blown away by her singing re-tweeted links of the St. Petersburg teen’s YouTube cover of a Rihanna song.

Because of her mad singing skills the teen already has well over to 2-million views of the video since it was posted just before the 4th of July of 2013.

Many YouTube viewers have insisted her voice is somehow auto-tuned - while others say she is doing Celtic-style sideways yodeling.

I find her singing extremely pleasant and earthy…definitely not auto-tuned as her boyfriend claims in his Tweet. To me it sounds a bit like the yodeling Leann Rimes does in her song “Blue.

According to a story in the Tampa Bay Times – Emma says her singing style is just the way she sings and she can’t sing any other way.
