We weren’t quite sure what direction this Write A Song Wednesday song was going to head after songwriter Chris Stapleton gave us the opening line “There’s a fire alarm on the wall.” Chris Stapleton, MCA Recording artist, is known for writing hits like Kenny Chesney’s “Never Wanted Nothing More” and Darius Rucker’s “Come Back Song.”

Our artist this Wednesday was Brian Sutherland. Along with Zach Rogers on the upright bass, they took these lyrics and made another masterpiece:
Hotter Than A Steam Room
There’s a fire alarm on the wall
for the inferno we’re going to make
and you damn know well I’m gonna pull it
If you’re gonna pull it, you’re gonna get wet
But that water’s just gonna make it hot
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire
and baby you’re hot
Hotter than a steam room full of summer beach bodies
