Imagine selling the leftovers you’d normally stuff in a box when you’re done at a restaurant. Or how about that casserole you know won’t get finished?

Well, a new app called LeftoverSwap, still in its trial stages, will let you to sell/buy leftovers!

Putting aside mutliple health risks and other dangers, the idea was born out of a desire to cut down on wasted food, resources, and most of all – money.

LeftoverSwap explains:

“You hate the idea of throwing out food, but also don’t want to be eating the same leftovers for the next few days. We understand. You want to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and fertilizer as well. We also understand that.”

“Snap a picture of what you can’t eat, name a price, and share the rest of your meal. Your neighbors are hungry.”

How do you feel about the idea? Pizza and pasta are excellent next-day items, but a sandwich from the local deli?
