When Sunday Night Football returns to NBC in Sept. it will be Carrie Underwood not Faith Hill singing the opening theme ‘Waiting All Day For Sunday Night’.

Faith Hill first appeared on Sunday Night Football in 2007, when she took over for pop singer Pink.

NBC’s Sunday Night Football theme song ‘Waiting All Day For Sunday Night’ is based on the Joan Jett’s classic tune ‘I Hate Myself for Loving You’.

I have posted Faith’s version and a small clip of Carrie’s unreleased version below, which one of the two versions do you like better?

Carrie Underwood and her version of ‘Waiting All Day For Sunday Night’ will debut on Sunday Night Football  Sept. 8, when the Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants live on NBC.
