The National Retail Association says that the average family spends $634.78 per year on back to school shopping. This coming weekend Aug. 2, 2013 through Aug.4, 2013 Florida residents can take advantage of the back to school Sales tax holiday.

So before you head out with the kids, know the facts on what’s included.

Electronic devices up to $750 (excluding cell phones, video games, and recreational software)

Clothing, shoes, and accessories selling for $75 or less

School supplies up to $15

In store and online purchases

Excluded are books, print paper, masking tape, staplers, and staples.
