Gold haired Jennifer Nettles took to Twitter and Instagram on Aug. 29 to show her startling hair color change for her latest music video.

The new do and color are part of the transformation that was need to change Nettles into the character Jolene depicted in her first solo release, That Girl“.

For fans who are worried the blonde singer will stay dark forever, not to worry – it’s just a wig.

There is no word on when the video will debut on CMT, or a release date for the album.

“That Girl” is the story of a woman who has been bamboozled, if you will, by a man. She doesn’t know at the moment of being lured into his sticky web, that he has someone waiting at home. However, when she finds out that he has someone else in the picture, she takes matters into her own hands and says, “Oh no honey. This is not happening.
