We’ve teamed up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and will once again participate in their annual 3-Day Walk to raise money and awareness for this disease. Veronica of the WQYK Morning Show will be leading our team of men and women as we walk, 60 miles, for those who have lost the battle, those who are currently fighting the battle, and those who know someone who have been affected.
To prepare for the walk and to help raise funds, our friends at BagBoards.net will be partnering with us to host Toss for a Cure, a cornhole tournament to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.
Our fundraiser will be held on Saturday, September 28 at Biff Burger. Practice will be underway starting at 10a with the tournament kicking off at approximately 11a.
If you’re unable to participate in the tournament you’ll have plenty of opportunities to give back. Anyone who wears pink to Biff Burger on tournament day will receive 20% off your total bill with 10% going back to the WQYK 3-Day Walk Team. Plus we’ll have face painting, bounce houses, a mini kids tournament, and the Ballew Racing car on-site for photo ops.
We’ll also have plenty of door prizes to give out throughout the afternoon including tickets to Adventure Island, a RaceTrac gift basket including $25 gas card, and movie passes plus a raffle for your chance to win an autographed Jason Aldean cornhole board set and custom Phillips Wizard Carving masterpieces.
Pre-register online today! It’s only $50 per team. Donations will also be accepted on location.
Special thanks to our event partners: BagBoards.net, Biff Burger, Miller Lite, 808 Shirts, Compass Banners and Signs, Smokers Vapor, K&S Wholesale Tile, Ballew Racing, and Phillips Wizard Carving, and A Funny Business.
