This morning’s Soldier Salute is a wonderful example of why we do this feature. Dottie Campbell contacted us to share the story of her nephew, Tyler Jeffries. Tyler, a Sargeant in the U.S. Army, lost both of his legs during a blast while serving overseas in Afghanistan last October.

Despite the sacrifice, Tyler believes enrolling in the military was the best thing he could’ve done. Click the link below to hear Dottie talk about tell the incredible story of Tyler Jeffries’ recovery, how his family has rallied around him 100%, and get details on Tyler’s Zephyrhills homecoming next week.

If you’d like to salute a soldier in your life, please email DMckay@wqyk.com or vgirl@wqyk.com. Give us a few details about your hero, your telephone number, and we will contact you. Thank you!
