On Sept 18 Jason Aldean got into the spat by telling Zac on a criptic Instagram message “no one gives a sh*t what you think”.
Now it’s one of the song writers that has come to the defense of his own song. Dallas Davidson, who co-penned “That’s My Kind Of Night” with Ashley Gorley and Chris DeStefano, is now also speaking out about Zac’s trashing of the song.
In a interview (9/19) with Roughstock.com Davidson stated, “A comment like that will hurt your feelings because when you write a song, it’s kind of like one of your babies.”
He also told Roughstock’s Alanna Conaway, “To hear a successful artist say it was the worst song he’s heard and it makes him want to throw up, that’s just not cool.”
My favorite part of the interview with Roughstock.com was when Davidson said, “If that song makes him want to throw up, I hope I write one today that gives him the flu because that means I’m doing my job right.”
Zac you better start stocking up on Theraflu and other flu symptom relievers because Davidson is a big hit maker. Davidson’s writing credits include “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” (Justin Moore), “We Owned the Night” (Lady Antebellum), “Boys Round Here” (Blake Shelton), Plus, Randy Houser‘s latest “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight”.
