It took three weeks, but Charles and Marie Robertson got their beloved wedding rings returned to them with a little help from their town’s Public Works department.

Marie accidentally flushed the rings down the toilet and the couple had almost given up hope of ever finding them again.

Then Charles decided a last-ditch effort call to the Public Works to see if they might be able to help recover the precious jewelery.
Using a tiny remotely controlled camera and snaking it into the sewer pipes, the rings were discovered after hours of searching. The couple was married for 67 years and says they are “elated” with the return of the rings and the help of Public Works.
