Andrew Morales is a United States Marine who got stationed from his base in southern California to camp Lejeune, N.C. and was all set to make the move when he was told his two beloved dogs were too big to fly commercially.
Morales rescued the two dogs, Dusty and Wyatt three years ago while he was on an overseas tour of duty, and said they are his best friends.
After contacting the company that helped him move from Afghanistan, they sent out an online appeal where Helen Rosburg, the great-granddaughter of chewing gum industrialist William Wrigley, couldn’t bear to have the best friends separated. Rosburg chartered a private jet for the dogs to travel from California to North Carolina.
Morales says he’s extremely grateful for Rosburg’s generosity and would like to thank her in person some day.Watch the touching story here…
