Dixie Chicks Call Tour In Canada A “Thank You” To Fans There?
The Dixie Chicks are going back on the road, but only in Canada this time. The “Long Time Gone” Tour opens in British Columbia, Canada this Saturday. Emily Robinson admitted that the group is still feeling a “backlash” from singer Natalie Maines’ comments about George Bush during the Iraqi War in 2003. Robinson also said that this tour is a “thank you” to the fans in Canada who have always been supportive.
So let me get this straight, fans buying tickets to a band that hasn’t had a hit or toured in a decade is a favor? It sounds more to me like these Dixie Chicks cant sell tickets in the U.S. and are desperate for fans.
