People’s Choice Awards Nominations Include Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, More

The 2014 People’s Choice Awards nominations have been revealed. While Glee leads with eight nominations, Katy Perry isn’t far behind with five nominations including Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video for “Roar” as well as Favorite Music Fan Following. Perry shares the Favorite Female Artist category with Britney SpearsDemi LovatoP!nk and Selena Gomez.

On the country side of things, The Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift were all nominated for Favorite Country Artist. A separate category titled Favorite Country Music Icon includes nominees Alan Jackson, George Strait, Tim McGraw, Toby Keith and Willie Nelson

The all-genre Favorite Album category includes Blake Shelton‘s Based on a True Story as well as Justin Timberlake‘s The 20/20 ExperienceMiley Cyrus‘ BangerzRobin Thicke‘s Blurred Lines and Michael Buble‘s To Be Loved.

 

The 40th annual show will air on CBS on January 8, 2014. Fans can vote on Facebook, Twitter and on their mobile device for each category through December 5.
