If you were watching “The Voice” when it was down to 8 contestants recently, you may or may not have noticed a change in one of the songs that was performed. The Seattle Starbucks Chorus replaced the word “Lord” in the song “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” with the word “Oh.” After the show when Blake Shelton realized what happened because his Twitter account blew up with complaints, he immediately responded by saying he had no idea why this happened. The shows executive producer Mark Burnett says he did not approve the lyric change, but that in order to provide the song free on ITunes they had to use the public domain version of the song. In any case Blake Shelton did assure his Twitter followers that he would get to the bottom of what happened with the song.
