Garth Brooks has had a good ride recently with his Box Set on Billboard 200 with “Blame It On My Roots: Five Decades Of Influences” seeing a 17 percent jump in sales this past week. It was at the top spot until Friday when Beyoncé released a self titles new disc that knocked it down a notch. Even though it was the best week yet for Brooks 8 disc set, Beyoncé’s was just that much better in sales over just three days. Beyoncé’s album was a “digital only” ITunes exclusive, while Brooks album can only physically be bought at Walmart, This by the way is the first time ever the top 2 albums on The Billboard 200 are available only through one retailer. Sign of the times?
