A&E isn’t being completely honest when they say they have suspended Phil Robertson from the hit show for the comments he made to GQ magazine about homosexuality. This suspension is all smoke and mirrors…it’s as fake as the show is.

A&E says they have no plans to edit down, or out, show patriarch Phil Robertson’s appearances in the nine episodes that have already been completed of the show’s upcoming 10-episode fifth season, scheduled to debut on January 15. And they have no plans on him not being in future seasons. So what does the suspension do? NOTHING for the first 9 episodes of the new season.

This is where A&E is dishonest by omission.  The taping for the fall of 2014 season is suppose to begin in 3 months. That’s what A&E has really suspended Phil for. They are just waiting for this scandal to burn itself out and then reinstate him just in time for the spring production to begin.

If A&E were really being honest with the public about their disapproval of Phil Robertson’s views on the gay life style they would cancel the show and it’s new season, not just suspend him from taping something that’s already been taped.
