Convict Escapes Prison, Then the Cold
An inmate in a minimum security prison in Lexington Kentucky managed to escape the prison walls, but then wanted to go back.
Robert Vick broke out of his cell wearing prison-issued khaki pants, a shirt, and a jacket when the weather proved to be too cold for him to want to remain at large.
Vick walked into a motel and asked the clerk to call the police, because he was turning himself in.
After being treated for hypothermia and checked out by doctors, the prisoner was returned to Blackburn Correctional Center where he’s serving a 6-year sentence.
