Jake Owen Announces Dates for 2014 ‘Days of Gold’ Tour
After spending the last couple years on the road supporting superstars like Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen finally setting out on his own headlining tour this year.
Dubbed the Days of Gold Tour (after his latest album and most recent single), the trek begins in Brookings, South Dakota on March 20 and runs through the spring, summer and fall, winding down Oct. 25 in Owen’s home town of Vero Beach, Fla. (See the full schedule on Radio.com.)
As Owen told Radio.com last month, one of his key goals in the concert arena is to “make people feel that you care about them” when performing live. “I’m not just there so they can see me — you know what I mean? I’m there so they can feel me, and I can feel them as well.”
And he’s like changing things up night to night. “I want [audiences] to always feel like, no matter what show they come to, they never know what they’re going to get,” he explained. “If you came out and watched ten of my shows in a row, you’d never see the same thing twice.”
Country group the Cadillac Three (who penned and first recorded the song “Days of Gold”) support Owen on all the dates. In addition, the Eli Young Band, Parmalee, and Thomas Rhett will perform in select cities.
