While they may sleep and snuggle while they’re inside, studies show they are up to much more not-so-innocent activities while they’re outside.

According to a new study, domestic cats in America kill billions of birds, mice and small animals each year.

With Americans owning 84 million cats, it’s estimated each cat kills between four and 18 birds each year and eight to 21 small mammals.
