When I heard that Blake Shelton was on Twitter urging Garth Brooks to sell his music online on places like ITunes, I wondered why it mattered to him so much. Then I found out that in an interview with “Taste Of Country” Shelton admitted “He’s the reason I wanted to become a country singer. he’s the reason I worked all Summer to buy a black Takamine guitar and cut away on it.” You see Shelton is concerned that this generation of kids wont ever know who Garth Brooks is and that he hates to think that kids cannot get his music “whenever they want to.” But garth needs to understand that the way people are getting their music has changed. Brooks reason for not selling his music online? he’s says he wants fans to buy an entire album, not just a song here and there. Good luck trying to get Brooks to change because as of now he doesn’t have a Twitter account. it sounds like maybe he needs a new public relations team.
