Canadian Passenger Doesn’t Like Female Pilots
A passenger known only as “David” on a flight from Calgary to Victoria, B.C., Canada, left a note that seemed like it came from a different era.
The passenger wrote the note on an airline napkin and expressed his dislike for female pilots. He claimed “The cockpit of an airliner is no place for a woman,” and included in the note that mothers are in shortage, not pilots.
The pilot of the aircraft, Carey Steacy, saw the note and decided to post it on her Facebook page.
She left a comment with the post that included, “I have heard many comments from people throughout my 17 year career as a pilot. Most of them positive… You were more than welcome to deplane when you heard I was a ‘fair lady.'”
