Tampa Bay City Council Vote Not To Renew Red Light Cameras
In a very close 4-3vote, the Tampa Bay City Council has voted not to renew the red light cameras. This after Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor at a press conference said the cameras were working to keep the community streets safe. But city council members said that they didn’t like the way the money was being used. The current contract runs through April, after which the cameras will go away.
