Forbes Magazine is calling The Tampa Bay Rays Major League Baseball’s least valuable team with an estimated worth of $485 million. That by the way is an increase of 8 percent from 2013.
Forbes ranks The New York Yankees at the top of the list for the 17th year in a row at $2.5 billion.Yes that is a 9% increase over last year.
Forbes also said the Rays were “plagued with an antiquated and difficult to get to stadium.” So I guess we can blame it on Tropicana Field. The Rays also had the largest average attendance last season at 18,645.
