You wouldn’t think that Alternative Rocker and American Idol Champ David Cook would be found living in Nashville anymore than you would expect him to be one of the co-writers of David Nail‘s latest song “Kiss You Tonight“.

In a interview with The Hollywood Reporter Cook stated his main reason for selling his LA house and moving to Nashville was to be closer to his aging parents in Missouri while still living in a city that had strong creative ties to music.

Upon moving, it didn’t take long for cook to get into the writing groove in Nashville. Cook told USA Today that “Kiss You Tonight” was only the third song he had worked on since moving to the city and added the song has opened a few big doors for him in Nashville. Which means you’ll likely be hearing more country tunes from David Cook. Which I think is a good thing for David Nail and country music.

“Kiss You Tonight” is the second single from Nail’s nearly release fourth studio album, “I A Fire”. The 11 track album has already produced a #1 song – “Whatever She’s Got” – and is sure to produce a another with “Kiss You Tonight”.
