Stowaway Survives Flight to Hawaii
A teenage boy from Santa Clara, California, got in an argument with his family and decided to runaway. He chose the wheel well of an airplane on its way to Hawaii as the method.
For five and a half hours the boy stowed away and was unconcious for most of the flight due to the frigid temperatures and lack of oxygen at 38,000 feet.
Upon arriving in Hawaii, the teenager got out of the wheel well and started wandering the airport. An hour after landing, somebody spotted him stumbling on the tarmac. The paramedics were called and he was taken away on a stretcher.
Video surveilance at the San Diego airport confirmed the boy’s identity.
