Taco Bell Reveals “Secret” of Meat
Taco Bell says they want customers to know the truth about what is in the meat they serve, so they announced what it contains.
The meat the restaurant chain uses in its food is 88% beef.
As for the other 12%, here’s the list:
Trehalose: used to improve the taste of the beef
Cellulose: helps with water and oil binding
Potassium Chloride: A salt substitute
Maltodextrin: Used to balance the flavor
Torula Yeast: A form of yeast used for flavor
Modified Corn Starch: used as a thickener
Caramel Color and Cocoa Powder: Both used to help color the beef.
