Baseball Player on DL…Because of a Sandwich
San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain was put on the disabled list after he cut his finger with a knife.
Cain was making a ham and cheese sandwich, he went to cut it, and dropped the knife.
On his attempt to recover the knife, he sliced his finger.
The pitcher attempted to pitch soon after, but after the wound seemed about to pop open, the team decided to put him on the DL retroactive to April 25.
Cain is expected to start in Los Angeles on Saturday.
