Swearing Is Banned in Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new law to make it illegal to swear.
Cussing is forbidden now in all arts, cultural and entertainment events in the country.
The ban includes books, CDs or films.
Citizens caught swearing can be fined up to $70, officials can be fined up to $40, while businesses can get hit with a $1,400 fine.
An “independent examination” will be done on each possible offense.
