Chris Young’s ‘Who I Am With You’ Becomes His Sixth No. 1
Chris Young‘s summer is looking up.
After cutting his hand while cooking and being forced to cancel show appearances, the country singer just received his sixth No. 1 single with “Who I Am With You,” which currently sits atop the Mediabase Country Singles chart.
“Yeah, I’m pretty happy right now,” said the singer in a press release. “Everybody is looking for that one person who lets them be themselves and, whether we want to admit it or not, pushes us to be a better person. This song couldn’t say it any better and I’m glad I got to be the person to sing it.”
“Who I Am With You” was written by Marv Green, Jason Sellers and Paul Jenkins.
In an interview with Radio.com at this year’s ACM Awards, Young explained why he decided to select the song for his album A.M.
“It’s the antithesis of the first single off the record ["Aw Naw"] in that the first one was the love song to tequila,” Young told Radio.com. “It was just like, ‘Let’s go out and drink and have a good time.'”
