Fans patiently awaiting for new music from Carrie Underwood will get a treat Tuesday (May 20), when the Blown Away star debuts a brand new song during the CBS-TV special airing that evening.

Two of country music’s biggest names are joining forces during the upcoming Billboard Music Awards. Billboard announced today that Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood will perform their new duet “Somethin’ Bad” during the award ceremony, which takes place Sunday, May 18.
“I thought it’ll be a cool, intimate evening on a large scale for people to learn something about songs they love,” Urban told Radio.com about tonight’s concert, which benefits the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
“So many young girls want to be just like her. In that sense, I see hope for the world. If I had a daughter, nothing would make me happier than to hear her say she wanted to grow up to be like Carrie Underwood,” Brad Paisley writes.

“Platinum” will feature 16 songs, half written or cowritten by Lambert and one of which will feature another female superstar. Lambert also revealed the album’s cover art — curious to see it?
