“I wanted our finished video to feel like an artifact from 1971,” said director David McClister, “an archival piece that had been re-discovered from the vaults of a local TV station.”
“When we did ‘Islands in the Stream’ we connected musically, when we did ‘You Can’t Make Old Friends’ we connected personally,” Rogers said. “For me, it’s not important that it’s a hit song, but it’s important historically to have it on tape.”
