FC Tampa Bay Rowdies is a men’s professional soccer team, which began play in April 2010 and will host its home games at George M. Steinbrenner Stadium. FC Tampa Bay is a member of the new North American Soccer League (NASL) competing in USSL Division 2 (USSL D-2) Pro League.  From 1975 to 1984, the Tampa Bay Rowdies played in the NASL and won the NASL championship in its inaugural season.
